EP52: Peterheid Review / Dumbarton & Stirling Albion Preview(s) / Darren Young
It's Wednesday and you know what that means!
Welcome to Episode 52 of the ABZ Football Podcast as Gary (@tchocky83) and Gavin (@TheRogue87) take you on the magical mystery tour that is the Premier Sports Cup Group Stages - first stop? Peterheid for a professional 2-0 victory for Jim Goodwin's Dons in the July sun.
We then take our regular look at all of the news coming out of AB24 in the last week, including the breaking news that Lewis Ferguson was set to seal a dream move to Serie A - and this time it aint baloney.
We then turn our attention to Wednesday evening's visit to the home of football by Dumbarton in the next of our Group A fixtures, this time in the company of Dumbarton's very own poet-in-residence, Stephen Watt (@StephenWatt) and we get the chance to bring you a much needed update to the Gregg Wylde Conversation (Version 2.0).
After the break, it's the return of our series of interviews with Dons personalities of past and present, this time, it's a man who came through the AFC Youth Academy, making his first team debut in August 1996 before going on to captain the side and eventually make 159 appearances for Aberdeen, the man who will be in the opposing dug-out at Forthbank next Tuesday evening as we chat about his life and times with the Dons and we preview the game in Stirling with Darren Young.
